EPMA Launches 2012 Powder Metallurgy Thesis Competition
The European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2012 PM Thesis Competition at both Diploma (Masters) and Doctorate (PhD) levels.
The aim of the competition is to develop an interest in and to promote powder metallurgy among young scientists at European academic establishments and to encourage research at under-graduate and post-graduate levels.
The competition is open to applicants who have graduated from a European university and who have had their theses approved during the 2009/2010, 2010/2011 and 2011/2012 academic years. The subject must be classified under the topic Powder Metallurgy.
The prizes will be presented at the Opening Plenary session of Euro PM2012 Congress & Exhibition in Basel, Switzerland on Monday, 17th September 2012. Winners will each receive a cheque of €750 and €1,000, sponsored by Höganäs AB, in Diploma and Doctorate categories respectively with the opportunity of having their work published in the prestigious journal “Powder Metallurgy” and FREE registration to the PM2012 Congress.
