SGS Hosts Free Webinars on Product Carbon Footprint Marks, June 5-7, 2012

June 5 – 7, 2012, SGS will host a series of free 45-minute webinars to introduce the new SGS Product Carbon Footprint Mark scheme. During the webinars, SGS experts will address the rise of consumer interest in environmental impact and the challenges and solutions for reducing the carbon footprint of consumer products in the global marketplace.

To address growing consumer expectations for environmental transparency and to counter NGOs who point out that the claims of some companies are only “green washing,” SGS has developed a progressive three-level product marking scheme to independently assess and demonstrate a company’s environmental commitment in a manner that communicates it clearly to consumers.
